Frequently Asked Questions
Do anti-slip mats prevent water from reaching the carpet?
High-wall liners with deep grooves and a reliable retention system prevent most water migration by channeling liquid into a reservoir. Universal carpet mats reduce splash and dirt but may not provide the same containment as vehicle-specific TPE liners with raised edges.
Which material is best for durability and odor resistance?
TPE and high-quality rubber are top choices for durability and low odor; they resist cracking in extreme temperatures and are easy to hose off. Carpeted or leatherette mats look nicer but can hold moisture and may require more frequent cleaning.
How important is a retention system?
Very important—retention nibs, anchor hooks and molded fit prevent mats from shifting underfoot, which improves safety and stops leaves and water from migrating toward pedals. If your car has factory anchors, choose mats compatible with them.
